JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Center for Management Studies dropped the curtain on the annual theatre fest Abhinaya 2020. Entering its 12th year, this vibrant fest witnessed the most refined performances by students from various colleges across Karnataka.
This National level theatre fest, which was held in two parts, saw young and talented artists take the stage by storm, leaving the audiences and judges spellbound. The first part of the fest was held on 27th and 28th January 2020 at the JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) Center for Management Studies campus and judged by veteran theatre artists– Shri Ravindra and Shri Achyuth Rao Padaki.
The final day of the theatre fest was hosted on the 3rd of February, 2020 with a panel of distinguished theatre and film professionals holding more than 30 decades of experience as judges– Smt. Lakshmi Chandrashekhar, Shri. Narayan Raichur and Dr. M S Vidya. The chief guest for the valedictory was Mr. Dheekshith, a theatre professional and a budding actor.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Dinesh Nilkant, Director of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) Center for Management Studies and was graced by the presence of theatre professional and upcoming actress Ms. Roopika and Mr. Naveen Shankar, an actor from Sandalwood industry.
The participants were judged in a total of 8 categories and were awarded trophies, cash prizes, and certificates. The winners were BMSCCM for “Aascharya Choodamani” and in 2nd place SSMRV College for (Naanu Chandragupta Nemba Mourya).
