Center for Management Studies, Jain (Deemed- to- be University) hosted their annual fest CMS Festival on 9 and 10 January 2020. This annual fest is a culmination of 3 fests happening simultaneously adding up to form a part of CMS festival.
These 3 fests include; Threshold 2020: Management Fest, Melange 2020: Media Fest and Lasya 2020: Cultural fest. The occasion was graced with very inspiring stories and words of wisdom from Dr.Dinesh Nilkant, Director, CMS, Jain (Deemed- to- be University). The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Sunil Shetty, Director of Operations, IBM India, who shared his experiences of his life and ways to conquer challenges of life.
The CMS – festival, a mega event coined upon the unification of Threshold 2020 - management fest, Melange 2020 - media fest and Lasya 2020 - cultural fest, enthralled a large group of student participants from more than 25 colleges from in and around Bangalore. The winners of Threshold 2020 and Melange 2020 were Christ University, Department of Professional Studies. The first day hosted an array of an event like business quiz, union wars, fashion show, eastern acoustics.
The second day of the event continued with cultural events with celebrity judges, Mr. Himanshu Dulani and Mr. Priyank Sharma (Bollywood Celebrity) to judge western group dance and Indian group dance respectively. The on-stage performance of the judges got the crowd to perform slick dance moves and enjoy to the core. The final mainstage event, music pro-night, performed by Anthariksh, an Indian Rock band, stunned the audience with their musical prowess and amazing co-ordination.
These two celebrities also performed on stage and got the crowd on their feet with some stellar moves. As the day finally turned into night, the students only grew in energy and enthusiasm having witnessed personality, cinema quiz, beatdown, JAM, etc. The winners of Lasya 2020 were St. Josephs's College of Commerce. The final mainstage event was our music pro night by Anthariksh, an Indian Rock band which stunned the audience with their musical prowess.
