An industrial visit to Keeranagere Silk Rearing Institute, Harohalli, was organised on 9th August 2024. The primary objective was to provide students with practical silk production exposure and familiarise them with challenges and opportunities within the sericulture industry.

Students observed mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing, and cocoon harvesting, gaining hands-on knowledge of the industry’s economic and agricultural dimensions. The visit underscored the interdependence of industries and the circulation of capital in traditional manufacturing sectors.
